Version 6.9 refines the update experience and tweaks how charging is communicated. These quality-of-life improvements make owning your device just a bit smoother.
Smarter Update Notifications
Here’s something you’ll never see but will definitely benefit from: After a firmware update, your device now automatically notifies previously connected phones that it needs to re-establish communication. In practical terms, this means smoother reconnections after updates with no weird glitches or need to manually “forget” and re-pair your device.
If you’ve ever had a device that acted strangely after a firmware update until you reconnected it, you know how valuable this is. Your phone and device will stay in sync automatically.
Remote Control Command
The companion app can now send commands directly to your device. Currently, this enables remote Bluetooth disconnection – useful if you need to end a connection from your phone rather than the device itself. It’s the foundation for more remote control features in future updates.
Clearer Charging Status
We’ve updated the charging indicator from red to two white LEDs. This makes it easier to distinguish between “actively charging” and other device states at a glance, especially in different lighting conditions. White is clearer and less alarming than red, which many people associate with errors.
These refinements are all about removing little friction points from your daily experience. The device should just work, and updates should make things better, not complicate them.
